How does Forté work? Forté is a fine balance of naturally occurring clays, botanical extracts, herbs and essential oils that were selected for their exfoliating and skin-loving properties. Ultra-absorbing clays remove dirt, oil and dead skin cells to improve new cell turnover and manage sebum production, while nourishing plant ingredients reduce inflammation, fight free radicals, repair skin and refine texture. • Dragon's Blood, Hibiscus & Jasmine Green Tea (DHJ) - Firming and Regenerating Activation Blend: DHJ is designed to minimize the appearance of fine lines, smooth skin texture, and soothe away inflammation and blemishes. Rich in alpha-hydroxy acid (AHAs), which provide an extra level of exfoliation - like the benefits of a mild peel without the burn; and ECGC & proanthocyanidins (antioxidant polyphenols), which, according to studies, show promising results in their ability to reduce inflammation, improve wound healing and stimulate collagen production.

 

• Amla, Alfalfa & Licorice Root (AAL) - Brightening & Toning Activation Blend: AAL is designed to even skin tone, fade discoloration, and alleviate the effects of premature aging caused by ROS (UV damage). Rich in vitamin C, glabridin, chlorophyll, and powerful antioxidants that protect collagen protein, prevent melanogenesis and proactively fight oxidative stress to inhibit photoaging.

Use in your mindfulness rituals to resurface texture, deep clean pores, and improve your skin’s ability to absorb hydration and nutrients. Start by taking a moment to customize your mask. Pay attention to all of your senses as you apply the mask to your skin. Notice the textures and aroma. While you wait for your mask to dry, breathe in and relax your body. Breathe out and calm you mind. Repeat, and let all your stress slip away.

 

Use once or twice a week as needed.  The nonactivated, dry powder form gives you the freedom to customize your mask with a hydrating liquid best suited for your skin’s needs. Try one of our activation blends designed to give you targeted results, or create your own blend. Coconut milk and flower hydrosols such as rose and chamomile are ideal for dry, irritated and mature skin. Witch Hazel, apple cider vinegar and astringent green tea are great options for treating breakouts and oily skin. Water is a safe choice for all skin types.

 

Mixing instructions: Use only non-metallic mixing bowls, spoons and containers.  Activate mask by combining 1 TBSP of powder with 1 TBSP of liquid, adding liquid gradually until powder becomes a smooth paste, not too runny and not too thick (adjust quantities as needed).  Use your fingertips or a soft make-up brush to apply all over face (avoid eye area), neck and décolleté. Use warm water and a wash cloth to remove gently, without rubbing or pulling on the skin. Product may tingle initially and you may feel a pulling sensation as mask begins to dry. Remove mask before it dries completely. Mixing instructions for activation blends: It's as simple as making tea. 

-For 1 mask application, use 1/4 tsp. of activation blend with 1/3 cup of hot water (160F is ideal).

-Steep for one to two minutes. 

-Allow liquid to cool to a comfortable temperature. Try it warm in the winter and cold in the summer. 

-Combine liquid with your dry mask to form a paste, per directions above.
